Current & Recently Completed Projects

2021/2022 Projects:

Even with the restrictions imposed by Covid-19, we were able to continue work and add to our portfolio by starting and completing several new projects. Warehouses have become a needed addition to developers project lists and we worked on 5 new warehouses projects with a total of over 1.3 million square feet of warehouse space. Locations were in Haverhill, Sturbridge and Boylston (3).

2020 Projects:

Lincoln Business Park – Bellingham, MA – Site prep, mass grading, and rock crushing for a 345,000 SF new warehouse. Work includes erosion control, clearing, grubbing, 300,000 CY of rock cuts and fills, 130,000 CY of crushing, foundation excavation, and gravel placement.

Solar Projects – 2020 was a busy year for solar companies and for us. We worked on 16 different locations covering 414 acres of area producing over 100 megawatts of solar power. The locations were statewide including sites in Orange, Dunstable, Erving, Mendon, Rochester, Deerfield, Auburn, Wareham (3), Charlton, West Brookfield (2), Warren (2) and Hopkinton.

2019 Projects:

Hillside Logistics Park Lots A&D – Northborough, MA – 600,000 SF of new warehouse space on a large 55 acre parcel. Work includes clearing and grubbing, erosion control, 750,000 CY of fast-paced earthmoving, 10,000 LF of storm drain, 7,500 LF of domestic and fire water, 3,500 LF of sanitary sewer, miles of electric, telecom & gas, foundation excavation, 55,000 CY of gravel placed, and 10,000 tons of asphalt paving. Majority of work completed in one construction season.

150 Hayes Memorial Warehouse – Marlborough, MA – 167,000 SF of new warehouse space on a 20 acre parcel. Work includes clearing and grubbing, erosion control, 150,000 CY of fast-paced earthmoving, storm drain, domestic and fire water, sanitary sewer with pump station, electric, telecom & gas, foundation excavation, gravel and asphalt paving. All work completed in one construction season.

Hubbardston Solar – 7.5 MW Solar development on a 35 acre site. Work includes clearing, grubbing, erosion control, access road construction, mass grading, ponds, drainage, electrical trenching, and concrete foundations.

Gardner Solar – 3.2 MW Solar development. Work includes reclaiming and mass grading of a 30 acre sand and gravel pit, access road construction, ponds electrical trenching, and concrete foundations.

Wales Solar – 3 MW Solar development. Work includes clearing, grubbing, erosion control, access road construction, grading, ponds, drainage, electrical trenching, and concrete foundations.

UMass Amherst Energy Storage – 1.3 MW Energy Storage compound. Work includes site prep, excavation, road trenching, concrete foundations, backfill, and stone compound pad.

Milford Roadway Extension – Extending Deer Street. Work includes clearing, grubbing, grading, installation of a box culvert with wingwalls, sewer, water, drain, gas, electric, paving, curbing, and sidewalks.

Winchendon Solar – 2.6 MW Solar development. Work includes clearing, grubbing, erosion control, access road construction, grading, ponds, drainage, electrical trenching, and concrete foundations.

2018 Projects:

Ledgeview Way Wrentham – Mixed Use Development; Wrentham, MA – Owner – RA Ventures
Constructed a main access road and developed 5 Lots complete with blasting/processing of ledge, all utilities, paving, curbing, etc. Contract Value – $18,920,000.00.

Solar Farms – Exeter & North Smithfield RI; Palmer Ma; Athol Ma – S&C Electric; Borrego Solar
Site Preparation, grading, erosion control, drainage, ledge, gravel roads, E & B for electric, and F & I detention ponds & equipment pads. Contract Values – $807,000.00 to $1,050,000.00.

Cape Cod Aggregate – Freetown, MA – Owner – Cape Cod Aggregates
Excavate/Remove soil (overburden) above ledge and construct a new access ramp into the quarry – 100K CY Contract Value – $416,000.00.

220K SF Warehouse – Building Site Development; Northborough, MA – Owner – Gutierrez Const. Co.
Grade site with onsite moisture sensitive soils, install all site utilities and provide finishes (paving, curbing, loam/seeding, etc.) for a complete site package. Contract Value – $3,660,000.00.

TJX Companies Parking Lot Expansion – Worcester, MA – Owner – TJX Companies
Grade, drill/blast/process ledge, install drainage with pond, modify site lighting system, pavement with select gravels, finishes to include berm, markings, & signs. Contract Value – $1,800,000.00.

2017 Projects:

FedEx Distribution Facility – Middletown; CT – Contractor – Manafort Brothers
Excavate/Grade parcel to proposed subgrade elevations (2M CY) including rock. Contract Value – $8,965,000.00.

Keating Pit – Lunenburg, MAOwner – PJ Keating
Dredge existing sediment ponds and dispose of material onsite, construct rock access “fingers” for future maintenance.  Contract Value – $600,000.00.

Solar Farms – Westminster & Fitchburg, MAOwner/Contractor – Nexamp
Site Prep, grading, erosion control, ponds, drainage, ledge, gravel roads, E&B for electric, equipment pads.  Contract Value – $2,250,000.00.

2016 Projects:

Putnam Landfill – Putnam, CTOwner – Wheelabrator Technologies
Cell Expansion/ Excavation – 500K CY; Leachate Piping, Liner, Select Layers; Process onsite materials to make select layers/materials – 60K CY.  Contract Value – $3,748,000.00.

Oxford Power Plant – Earthwork/Grading; Oxford, CTOwner – Gemma Corp.
Cut/Fill & Grade 300,000 CY Onsite.  Contract Value – $1,500,000.00.

Keating Pit – Remove Overburden; Lunenburg, MAOwner – PJ Keating
Excavate/Remove soil (overburden) above ledge and stockpile onsite – 400k CY, including erosion control Contract Value – $1,000,000.00.

Tri-State Truck Center – Shrewsbury, MAOwner – Tri-State Truck Center
Excavate/Grade 125k CY of ledge to create building pad inclusive of drainage, detention pond expansion, and processing onsite material for gravel.  Contract Value – $1,150,000.00.

Danforth Green – Housing Development; Framingham, MAOwner – Brendon Homes
Grading & processing of onsite unsuitable materials, F&I water, sewer, & drain within the right-of-way, prepare the roadway for pavement. Contract Value – $4,121,000.00.

Various Solar Farm Projects Totaling 30Mw of PowerOwner/Contractor – Nexamp
Site prep, grading, erosion control, drainage, ledge/boulders, gravel roads, ponds, equipment pads, and E&B for electrical conduit. Contract Value – $7,850,000.00.

2015 Projects:

Shrewsbury Landfill – Cell Expansion; Shrewsbury, MAOwner – Wheelabrator Technologies
Cell Expansion to include grading/shaping, F & I all select materials and liner, leachate piping, drainage, construction of a large segmental block retaining wall.  Contract Value – $3,183,000.00.

Solar Farms – Charlton & Rutland, MAOwner/Contractor – Nexamp
Site prep, grading, erosion control, drainage, ledge/boulders, gravel roads, construct detention ponds, F & I equipment pads, and E & B for electrical conduit.  Contract Value – $1,223,000.00.

Altec – Industrial Building Site; Shrewsbury, MAContractor – The Stewart Perry Company
Site preparation; erosion control; cut/fills/grading (300k CY); water, sewer, & drainage systems; E&B electrical; E&B building foundation & below slab utilities.  Contract Value – $4,195,000.00.

Middleboro Landfill – Cell Expansion; Middleboro, MAOwner – Waste Management
Excavate/shape for cell expansion, install all selects including clay liner and associated leachate and drainage piping.  Contract Value – $1,527,000.00.

Cranberry Crescent – Commercial Complex; Plymouth, MAContractor – Lawrence Lynch Corp.

Perform Cuts/Fills rough grading of site, 117k CY.  Contract Value – $468,000.00.

2014 Projects:

Pleasant Valley Crossing – Retail Complex; Sutton, MA Contractor – CJP Construction Inc.
Perform grading, site preparation, retaining walls.  Contract Value – $354,000.00.

Eagle Hill School – Utility Work; Hardwick, MAOwner – Eagle Hill School
Furnish and install a sewer forcemain system.  Contract Value – $625,000.00.

2013 Projects:

Goddard St. Parking Lot – Worcester, MA Contractor – O’Hara Buthray Associates
Grading, retaining walls, utilities, gravels, and paving.  Contract Value – $2,045,000.00.

Nexamp Solar Farms – Hubbardston & Rutland, MAOwner/Contractor – Nexamp
Site preparation, grading, erosion control, drainage, ledge/boulders, gravel roads, construct detention ponds, F & I equipment pads, and E & B for electrical conduit.  Contract Value – $2,744,000.00.

CSX Rail Siding – Westboro, MAContractor – Transdevelopment Group
Perform grading, cuts/fills; drainage system; E&B for site lighting; Paving. Contract Value – $833,000.00.

Scale House & Truck Wash Facilities – Shrewsbury, MAOwner – Wheelabrator Technologies
Excavate/Backfill for buildings and truck scale structure with below slab piping, site drainage, electric, sewer/processed water; and paving with gravels.  Contract Value – $1,582,000.00.

Reserve on Salisbury – Apartment Complex; Holden, MA Owner – Reserve on Salisbury, LLC

Site preparation; grading; cuts/fills; F&I water, sewer, and drainage systems; E&B electrical & buildings including below slab piping; F&I paving, curbing, signage, etc.  Contract Value – $4,645,000.00.
